Operations Crew/AV Assistant – Full Time Position

Job Description:

As an Operations Crew and AV Assistant, you will be responsible for setting up and taking down production equipment. Also getting equipment prepared for the event and put away after the event. This will be indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and taking down staging.
  • Setting up and taking down pipe and drape.
  • Setting up and taking down tables and chairs.
  • Setting up and taking down screens and projectors.
  • Setting up and taking down stage lights and up lights.
  • Gathering equipment from the warehouse to be ready for events.
  • Restocking equipment when it is back from events.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed from the Director of Operations or AV Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to be a leader for the team when setting up and taking down equipment.
  • Ability to read floor plans. Understand location of equipment for setting up.
  • Ability to read list of equipment and understand how to gather or put away.
  • Strong communication skills for internal team, client, and venues. Comfortable talking to a client.
  • Strong organizational skills. Keep yourself and the team on track and safe for the work needed to get done.
  • Commitment to being on time to work. We must be on time at a location at a specific time.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Teamwork and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends. We will communicate with advance notice, when possible, if work is needed during the night or the weekend.

Preferred Qualifications but not required:

  • Ability to drive a 26FT box truck, no CDL required.
  • Audio, video, lighting experience.
  • Event Production experience.
  • Basic computer skills to check email, Microsoft office, etc
